TriCap Marketing Limited, through its influence and relationship with TriCap Assurance SPC (together, “TriCap”) is putting the intermediary, be it a bank or financial adviser, where they should be in the client relationship – front and centre in identifying what it is that individual client needs, and any features the insurance policy needs to satisfy any taxation conditions of the client’s country of residence.
It is the intermediary who has formed and retained that client relationship through their superior service and proven trustworthiness that should retain control over investment strategy, beneficial interest appointments, investment custodial relationships and client advice throughout the entire term of the contract, as no one is better placed to react to their clients’ changing needs and wishes – certainly the insurer is not the entity to take these decisions, remote as they inevitably are from the client.
It is the intermediary who, armed with their knowledge of the client tax, cultural, and personal circumstances who will be responsible for defining with their client the purpose of an off-shore insurance policy, the desired outcomes, level of life cover, underlying investment custodianship, investment management.
TriCap will respond to a product request with a product design with clear and transparent charges for their life assurance policies and present this to the intermediary for their confirmation that it accurately reflects their client’s requirements.
